Bowmore 15 Years Old is a single malt that showcases the most intense and complex side of the Islay distillery. After a long maturation in ex-Bourbon American oak casks, the whisky completes its ageing in fine Oloroso sherry casks, which lend it an extraordinary aromatic richness. The result is a perfect balance between Bowmore’s characteristic delicate peat and deep notes of dried fruit, dark chocolate and spices, in an elegant and refined style.
The bouquet opens with hints of raisins, cocoa, orange zest and a delicate smokiness, whilst on the palate it offers a velvety texture with notes of caramel, ripe plums, toasted hazelnuts and a pleasant maritime note that lingers throughout the tasting. The finish is long, intense and lingering, with elegant smoky and spicy nuances. An ideal single malt for those seeking an Islay whisky that combines depth, sweetness and character in every sip.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
