Mortlach Dreams 1989 Release 1999

The "Dreams" series, dating back to 1999, is a collaboration between two Whisky pioneers in Italy, Silvano Samaroli and Pepi Mongiardino, patron of Moon Import. The series, with its unusual label, features artwork designed by Nadia Pini and Hans Piu, and all bear Silvano Samaroli's signature printed on the capsule.

Mortlach was founded in 1823 and was the first of Dufftown's "Seven Stills" to receive an official license. The distillery rose to prominence for its unique distillation regime, which produced a notoriously "meaty" whiskey, highly prized by blenders, and which made it accessible for years only through independent bottlers-exactly as in this case.
