Talisker 1953 24 Y.O. Connoisseur Choice

This Talisker was distilled in Skye in 1953 and bottled as a 24-year-old by Gordon and MacPhail. For a long time, Talisker was the only distillery on the iconic Scottish island of Skye. When a 10-year-old expression became a mainstay in United Distillers Classic Malts range, the distillery's popularity exploded and today it is one of the most revered and exported in Scotland. For this reason, independent bottlings such as this one are rare and particularly sought after when they become available.

The black and red Connoisseurs Choice labels were the first ever. The range was designed for Edoardo Giaccone in Italy in the early 1970s and became part of Gordon & MacPhail's core portfolio in 1979. Today it is one of the world most recognized independent whisky labels.
