Renegade Distillery is located near Pearl, on the northeast side of Windward Island, in an area whose hilly, volcanic terrain offers a wide range of altitudes, soils and microclimates ideal for growing sugarcane. This superior terroir is the birthplace of the distillery's innovative approach to the world of rum, which aims to enhance the cane varieties of each specific terroir.
The landscape of Grenada is incredibly variable: in a space of five kilometres, it can go from sea level up to 800 metres altitude, passing through various climatic zones.

Technologically advanced and at the same time extremely environmentally friendly, Renegade considers the raw material to be fundamental.
There are14 different farms along the coast, each of which can have between two and six different terroirs. Cultivation and harvesting are carried out directly by the distillery. The aim of Renegade is precisely to explore all the different aromas of sugar cane, terroir by terroir, field by field. Harvesting is done by hand, and theraw material is processed within 24 hours of harvesting.
With regard to thefermentation, another mainstay for the distillery, 6 different facilities are used, each of which is filled separately and cleaned after use: this allows the different nuances of each terroir to be represented, with separate batch production.
Distillation is carried out in pot still and column still. The double retort copper pot still was specially created by Forsyths in Scotland.
American and Colombian oak barrels are used for maturation, as well as fine barrels that have contained French red wine.
Angel's annual share is around 6 to 8 percent, and Renegade's goal is to age for at least 3 years.

Each bottle of Renegade comes with its own pioneering CaneCode, which certifies its origin and characteristics. Once entered, the code takes the consumer to Grenada through a series of never-before-seen content specific to that precise bottling. Using rich photography and tapping into a digital logistics system containing thousands of data points, those who purchase a bottle can browse maps, see harvest information, view distillation details, and discover the terroir on which the sugarcane was grown.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
