Cognac Vaudon VS comes from the skilful hands of Pierre Vaudon, one of the great young masters of Cognac, who uses the traditional Fins Bois and Grande Champagne distilled on fine lees and aged for at least 10 years;
A versatile cognac that maintains its austerity with notes of toffee, honey and salted butter, complemented by hints of ripe fruit and figs. Soft on the palate and persistent, candied fruit, floral and fruity.
A historic Cognac family, Vaudon has a very respectful agricultural approach aimed at maintaining the fertility of the soil; no chemical fertilisers are used. The wines, sur lies, are sulphite-free.
The distillations are carried out in classic Charente stills with direct fire.
The aging uses new oak barrels from Limousin in the first few years, before moving on to the so-called Roux, old barrels that do not bring any pitannins to the distillate.
The art of blending, the real secret of Cognac, passed down orally from Maitre de Chais to Maitre de Chais.
The ageing process takes place in two different environments, which bring different characteristics. The ground floor of the Chais, more humid, gives rounder eaux-de-vie, while the first floor, drier, yields finer Cognacs.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
