Agricolo is the long-awaited new special edition of Amara, and is the first liqueur made from the flowering of Etna's wild broom.
The broom flowers, picked at their peak between June and the end of July, are left to rest for six months in an alcoholic infusion, along with wild herbs and IGP Sicilian blood orange peels, to which spring water flowing 1200 meters above the volcano is then added.
This special edition is dedicated to the work of peasants and farmers who have been caring for the family citrus groves on the slopes of Mount Etna for four generations.
Amara Agricolo contains all the scents and aromas of the volcanic agricultural countryside, in a balanced alternation between the pungent notes of broom and the freshness of Etna's wild herbs. An amber-colored bitter strongly characterized by the scents of freshly picked broom, so as to preserve all the vegetal and floral notes, with great aromatic complexity.
With an alcohol content of 35 percent and its pleasantly bitter aftertaste, it is meant to be enjoyed after dinner.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
