Karukera L'Insolite Brut de fût rum is the fruit of experimentation by Karukera's cellar master, and has been matured in exceptional barrels from the famous Cognac Seguin Moreau cooperage. This rum is distinguished by its fruity, round and smooth aromatic character, very well balanced. It is bottled brut de fût. Founded in 1895, the Espérance distillery is the oldest on the island still in operation. Located on the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie, it produces Longueteau rum from the surrounding blue and red cane fields. For over a century, Longueteau was a white rum, sold mainly in bulk. In 2006, François Longueteau joined forces with Grégoire Hayot and Sylvain Guzzo to create the Karukera rum factory to offer an aged version of his agricultural rum.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
