Rhum Vieux Agricole Flora Antillarum Karukera 12 Y.O 2009 was composed from a blend of 2 casks, namely No 183 and No 188. Distilled at Karukera in the Créole column, it was aged in ex-Cognac casks on 15 May 2009. Entirely aged at the distillery, it was bottled at the natural grade.
This old Karukera 12 Y.O 2009 is part of the Flora Antillarum range, dedicated to three essential Guadeloupe references: Bologne, Karukera and Montebello. The inspiration comes from one of the first books documenting the flora of the West Indies: published in 1808 and written by François Richard de Tussac, Senator of Guadeloupe, it bears the very long and evocative title Flora Antillarum: seu, Historia generalis botanica, ruralis, oeconomica vegetabilium in Antilles indigenorum, et exoticorum indigenis cultura adscriptorum; secondum systema sexuale Linnaei, et methodum naturalem Jussiaei in loco natali elaborata, iconibus accuratissime delineatis et coloratis illustrata. When Luca Gargano came into possession of this book, he decided to use the splendid illustrations it contained for the labels of these agricultural rums, created with the help of Sylvain Guzzo.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
