Founded in 1829 in the city of Tullamore, located between Dublin and Galway, the Tullamore distillery has quickly risen to success over the years of its director D.E. Williams. Its initials were added to the name of the distillery, for those who were about to become the most famous assemblies of Irish Whiskey, Tullamore Dew. In 1954 the distillery closed its doors, but the brand was purchased by the Powers distillery which in 1875 became a member of the Irish Distillers group.
Tullamore D.E.W. XO respects the original recipe, with a blend of column and pot still from malted and non-malted spirits. It is distinguished by the aging in ex Rum Demerara barrels, inspired by the work of Irish immigrants in the Caribbean of the seventeenth century.

Who was born first, Scotch whiskey or Irish whiskey? We will probably never know the answer, and in the end it is not even of fundamental importance.
What we are interested in here is talking about...

Ireland and Scotland have always contended over the paternity of the invention of whisky, however, there are no official documents and we will not go into this centuries-old dispute, but will rely on...
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
