Miyagikyo is the second distillery founded by Masataka Taketsutu, who in 1969 near Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture.
This Single Malt has been distilled in steam powered pot stills and designed for slow distillation at low temperatures, to have a large reflux of alcoholic vapors. The result is a harmonious distillate, with delicate floral and fruity notes.
2017 edition, limited to only 3500 bottles, is then embellished with a final passage of the whisky in barrels that contained rum.
The result is a truly delicious basket of exotic fruit.
