For 10 years of Benromach the distillation takes place using the best natural ingredients, the distillers coordinate every single moment of the distillation process; each barrel is filled, weighed and marked manually before being placed for many years in the traditional “dunnage” warehouses for the maturation phase. Aging for 10 years takes place in barrels for 80% ex-Bourbon and 20% ex-Sherry, with an additional maturation of one year, before bottling, in Oloroso Sherry barrels
Tasting notes: the nose has intense sensations of sherry with fruity notes (green apple), malty, hazelnut chocolate and cinnamon. Slightly smoky aftertaste. Adding water gives off a hint of charred oak and malt. Delicately scented with exotic fruits - pineapple and kiwi. On the palate it develops fruity notes - raspberries and blackberries, sherry, malt with an intense influence of peat. The sweetness of the sherry is persistent and delicately smoked. The finish is long, persistent with notes of sherry and peat.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
