Caol Ila 12 Y.O. is a Single Malt made from pure barley malt and aged for 12 years in oak casks.

Caol Ila - which means 'Sound of Islay' in Gaelic - is reputed to be one of the finest distilleries on Islay and in Scotland in general, and is known for its Single Malts rich in smoky and marine notes, produced using a peat with a high iodine content.

This 12 year old Single Malt is the freshest and lightest expression from the distillery.

Aromatic Profile: The nose is rich in floral, pepper, honey and dark chocolate notes, with smoke and iodine lingering in the background. On the palate, the sweet and spicy notes make it very complex. The finish is long and peaty.

It can be drunk neat, with a glass of fresh water as an accompaniment, or paired with oysters.
