Jura Distillery is located on the island of the same name, right in front of Islay, and was founded in 1810; closed in 1901 and then reopened in 1963, it is today the only distillery open on an island of only 200 inhabitants.

This Single Malt Scotch Whisky is aged for 10 years in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, and then undergoes a refinement of a few months in ex-Sherry Oloroso barrels.

The finishing touch is a finish in the best aged Sherry Oloroso barrels from Jerez, Spain.

Aromatic Profile: opens with vanilla and orange aromas. In the mouth, however, the sweet profile is balanced by a hint of ginger, pepper and dark chocolate that give body. Overall, a whisky that is easy to drink, but with interesting tasting notes.
