Caroni Paradise #16 is a 1998 rum from cask #3929. It comes from the stock that remained in Trinidad from distillation until 2019 and, after the selection held in Cognac, was transferred into three 54-litre glass demijohns.
The Caroni The Paradise series was born during the legendary Caroni Ceremony held on 12 April 2019 in Cognac, when twenty-six rum experts, including Luca Gargano, selected the twenty-three finest casks from the last remaining stock of one hundred and thirty-six Caroni barrels. This selection gave rise to Caroni The Last, Caroni Tasting Gang and Caroni Employees, alongside a selection of special casks bottled as Single Casks: The Paradise series. The bottles are hand-blown by glass artist Massimo Lunardon, while the labels feature works strongly inspired by Caribbean colours by Che Lovelace, a Trinidadian artist and lecturer at the University of the West Indies' Creative Arts Campus.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
