The art of Yuzen meets Japanese whisky
In keeping with tradition, this year La Maison du Whisky once again presents an exclusive limited edition set: four Chichibu single casks, created in collaboration with the famous Japanese artist Kunihiko Moriguchi and part of the Foundations 2025 catalogue.
Each bottle is unique: whiskies aged from 7 to 10 years, produced with different barley varieties, peat levels and cask types. These include an absolute rarity - one of the oldest single cask Chichibu ever created, aged in a wine cask from the renowned Grand Puy Lacoste in Pauillac, France.
The labels bear the signature of Moriguchi-san, master of yuzen, an ancient Japanese dyeing technique reserved for ceremonial kimonos. For this collection, the artist has designed four original motifs inspired by the molecular structures of chemistry, a symbol of balance and connection: a tribute to the harmony between art and science, tradition and innovation, in the sign of Chichibu.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
