Itineraires is a curated series of bottlings that treats whisky as a journey made of stages, landscapes and sensory encounters. Each release such as Chichibu 7 Y.O. 2017 Single Cask No. 14329 Cider Cask Itineraires is conceived as a liquid snapshot, capturing a specific place, vintage and style in the glass. The philosophy is that of uncompromising single casks, where cask and spirit converse without filters to deliver a truly one?of?a?kind experience.
Chichibu Distillery, founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008, has quickly become a benchmark for craft Japanese whisky. Nestled among the hills of Saitama Prefecture, it works with small batches, carefully selected malt and obsessive attention to fermentation and maturation details. Creative cask management and a refusal to standardise flavour profiles make every bottling a fresh exploration of Chichibu malts potential.
Chichibu 7 Y.O. 2017 Single Cask No. 14329 Cider Cask Itineraires plays on a surprisingly fresh, fruity register: crisp apples, pear and hints of farmhouse cider dominate the nose. The ex?cider cask adds a tangy, thirst?quenching streak that dovetails with Chichibus malt, creating a lively, almost wine?like impression. The finish brings baked apple, gentle spice and delicate wood, immediately inviting another sip.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
