Port Askaig 12 Years Old Autumn Edition is a seasonal edition that interprets the Islay style in a softer, more enveloping way. Matured for twelve years in carefully selected casks and bottled at a high alcohol content, it retains the brand's typical non-chill-filtered approach, favouring aromatic authenticity and structure.
The aroma combines gentle peat, caramel and red apple, with hints of dry leaves and sweet spices. On the palate, notes of malt, dark honey, orange peel and a warmer, rounder smoke than classic coastal Islay whiskies develop. The finish is reminiscent of embers, hazelnut and sea salt.
A particularly gastronomic whisky, ideal in cold seasons and perfect for those who want to try peated whiskies while maintaining balance and drinkability.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
