The Savanna Wild Island Grand Arôme 2005 13-Year-Old Cask #121 is one of those rums that perfectly illustrates why Réunion is now regarded as one of the most fascinating destinations in the world for rum connoisseurs.
Produced by Savanna, this single cask – an ex-cognac cask – forms part of the Wild Island series, a project through which the historic distillery celebrates the rugged and spectacular nature of Réunion: an island of volcanoes, rainforests and sugar cane grown on the edge of the jungle. The aim of the series is precisely to showcase the island’s volcanic terroir through long, intense and aromatically explosive fermentations.
Savanna is the only distillery in the world that has been producing and marketing both the juice and molasses of Bois Rouge sugarcane for many years; every stage of the process is meticulously supervised by master distiller Laurent Broc. The Wild Island Edition is an intriguing journey through the secrets of a fascinating island, discovering exceptional single cask rums, aged in various types of casks and strictly in a tropical climate.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
