HERRLINE No. 2 is a very limited special edition from the Savanna distillery, created in collaboration with independent bottler Swell de Spirits and designed to explore the high aromatic intensity of HERR (High Ester Rum Réunion) rum.
The cuvée is composed of a blend of Bois Rouge (Colonne C20) molasses rum and HERR 2009, which has been aged for 8 years in a tropical climate in ex-Cognac barrel no. 215, followed by bottling at full strength.
The nose is rich with hints of tart red fruits that quickly give way to dark brown sugar, vanilla wood and a touch of funk reminiscent of vinyl glue and dense fermentation environments. The attack on the palate is bittersweet, with roasted cocoa, burnt caramel, a hint of umami and a slightly rough minerality. The finish is long and balanced, with fruity notes and a slight astringency.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
