Savanna Traditionnel by Repy is one of the special editions from the Savanna distillery, created with the aim of combining two very different but equally distinctive art forms: visual art and distillation. It was created on the island of La Réunion, a place where Creole culture blends with French heritage and the tropical energy of the Indian Ocean.
This edition is the result of a collaboration with artist Repy, known for his works depicting island life. The bottle becomes a canvas, while the distillate embodies the same expressive power as the colours: a blend made with two components distilled in 2019, one from agricultural rum and the other according to the Grand Arôme tradition, obtained from molasses with a high concentration of esters.
The two souls of rum were blended before ageing and left to rest for four years in French oak ex-Cognac barrels. The result is an intense and complex cuvée, bottled at full strength, in a limited edition.
Art of Rum by Repy stands out for its bold aromatic profile: slightly fruity on the nose, balanced by a vegetal freshness, with a balsamic note and a subtle woody scent that reveal a mineral and salty touch. On the palate, the frank attack is balanced by fruitiness and sweetness. The decisive finish combines fruity roundness with vegetal and salty touches. The aromatic richness tempers the liveliness of the young rum and gives it a beautiful balance.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
