Amrut Greedy Angels 8 Y.O. whisky is a single malt Indian whisky, produced by the Amrut distillery, a pioneer in whisky production in the Asian country.
It is the first, in order of ageing, of the three labels that make up the Greedy Angles collection. The name of this series refers to the angel's share: this is the amount of whisky that evaporates from the casks during ageing and of which angels are very greedy.
Due to India's sub-tropical climate, which strongly influences this phenomenon, this amount of liquid is much higher, causing the whiskies to mature very quickly at the expense of their volume.
The concentration and intensity of these whiskies is what characterises them and makes them unique and limited in quantity.
The Amrut Greedy Angels 8 Y.O. offers a complex aromatic bouquet on the nose: saline notes are articulated between hints of blood orange, pear, butter and dried fruit.
The sip is delicate, soft and intense. Fresh and vanilla, it is articulated on notes of cocoa, spices and honey.
The finish is long and characterised by woody and toffee notes.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
