Kavalan 11 Y.O. 2011 PX Cask Antipodes Single Malt comes from a distillery famous for the incredible diversity of its bottlings in ex-Sherry casks of great variety: Fino, Manzanilla, Amontillado, Oloroso and Moscatel. This version, aged for 11 years in a single ex-Sherry Pedro Ximenez cask - the PX110218016B - bottled at cask strength and selected by La Maison du Whisky, is also no exception.
70cl / 56.30°
The Single Malt Kavalan 11 Y.O. 2011 PX Cask Antipodes has a rich, deep nose, in which early hints of chocolate, apricot, dried fruit and nuts evolve into vetiver, camphor and leather, with fragrances of exotic fruit and molasses. The palate is lively, with an attack of chocolate lending its imprint to the empyreumatic register of the nose. Notes of candied citrus and spice fade into the floral richness of orchid, geranium and tuberose. The finish is persistent, rich with underbrush, mushroom and lichen, making way for salted caramel, cookie and coffee beans, with a refreshing aftertaste of mint and verbena.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
