St. Kilian 6 Y.O. ex Sherrry Cask represents the latest 2024 bottling of Whiskyfacile's The Black Cat series.
Six and a half years of ageing in decommissioned NATO bunkers in the Odenwald mountains in Bavaria have worked a miracle and given birth to a pan-European whisky: distilled from malt from the Scottish Highlands peated at 80 ppm, aged in Germany in a former Pedro Ximenez sherry cask.
British raw material, Spanish wood, German professionalism. The result is a very deep single malt, in which the peat is reminiscent of cigar smoke and matches the notes of the PX: mint dark chocolate, coffee, dried fruit. But also burnt panettone, sultanas, cherry and blueberry jam, and a grassy, spicy dimension reminiscent of saffron. Full-bodied, enjoyably finish.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
