St. Kilian 6 Y.O. ex Bourbon Cask represents the latest 2024 bottling of Whiskyfacile's The Black Cat series.
A German Single Malt from a cask of the Bavarian distillery St. Kilian, filled on 21 February 2018.
The 80 ppm peat malt comes from Scotland, the distillate aged 6 years in a cask that had previously contained Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey. The nose is aromatic and balsamic, with a freshness of pine needles mingling with caramelised bacon and an intriguing sweetness of sugared almond and vanilla that grows gradually. Pineapple cream. In the mouth, the peaty, herbaceous and burnt part is powerful and combined with a citric flicker gives a full and surprising palate. As surprising is the finish, long, herbaceous and with a resounding peat. Bavaria, Highlands and Tennessee, what a magnificent malt triangle.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
