The Farclass 14 Y.O. is a single malt Scotch whisky from a historic independent distillery in Speyside, renowned for its use of direct-fired stills and for a style traditionally focused on maturation in sherry casks. In this release, however, the distillery’s profile is reinterpreted through the first-fill bourbon barrel #800478, an unusual choice that enhances aromatic precision and the malty component.
Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026 after 14 years of maturation, this single cask is offered at 57.7% ABV, with no compromise on structure or intensity. Production is limited to just 193 bottles, a detail that underscores its collectable status.
On the nose, notes of barley malt, biscuit, honey and vanilla emerge, accompanied by hints of ripe yellow fruit. The palate is rich and oily, with hints of butter, dried fruit and toasted cereal, underpinned by a powerful yet well-integrated alcohol component. A muscular and contemporary Speyside, capable of maintaining the distillery’s classic identity with a more vibrant, bourbon-driven character.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
