Inspired by the golden elegance of 1960s Italian cinema, Ardbeg Dolce blends Mediterranean charm with the distillery’s bold character.
Matured in Sicilian Marsala wine casks and classic ex-Bourbon casks, this whisky releases an intense sweetness of
apricots, jam and dark chocolate, intertwined with notes of toasted nuts and the characteristic peat smoke.
A meeting of Sicilian sweetness and the wild spirit of Islay.
Whether under the Islay rain or the Sicilian sun, the best way to enjoy Ardbeg Dolce is undoubtedly on the beach in good company.
Aroma intense and multi-faceted, a smoky sweetness that opens with ripe apricot, juicy plums, dates and baked apples. Orange marmalade blends with fresh citrus notes. With a few drops of water, deeper nuances emerge: roasted mushrooms, pine needles, citrus zest, capers and olives. The whole evokes the rich and varied scents of a Sicilian garden.
On the palate, this whisky opens with a spicy hint of cinnamon, star anise and a touch of liquorice. This is followed by
softer, more enveloping notes: lightly smoked honey, dates, walnuts and cocoa. The palate continues with dried fruit and lemon zest, finishing with a balance between a pleasant savouriness and light herbaceous notes.
Finish long and enveloping, it unfolds in multiple nuances: notes of smoked wood and tobacco intertwine with hints of embers and a rich, smooth and slightly oily aroma.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
