The Single Malt Ardbeg Uigeadail takes its name from the lake of the same name - which in Gaelic means 'dark and mysterious place' - from which the water that Ardbeg uses in all stages of production comes. A fundamental element in the life of the distillery, which not by chance gives its name to one of Ardbeg's most iconic bottlings. This whisky is produced from a combination of different house blends, and matured in ex-Sherry casks. It is not cold filtered to maintain its greater depth.
The Single Malt Ardbeg Uigeadail has an intense nose, with hints of peat, cedar wood, grain, resin and wax. The full palate is initially rich with sweet notes of coffee, honey and smoke, then becomes spicy and spicy. The finish is persistent and smoky, with an aftertaste of sultanas and coffee.
