Clairin Vieux Casimir 10 Y.O. Barradères Grand Terroir Ex-Caroni Cask Full Proof
Ten years on from the first legendary ageing experiments launched in 2016, Velier’s Clairin range has reached a historic milestone. Two small batch editions of exceptional rarity and maturity have been created, matured entirely in prestigious ex-Caroni casks and bottled at cask strength – full proof.
The Clairin Vieux Casimir 10 Y.O. is produced in Barradères, in south-western Haiti, thanks to the expertise of Faubert Casimir and the distillation of the indigenous Hawaii variety of sugar cane. This release is the result of a blend of just five ex-Caroni casks filled in 2016, following a decade of maturation characterised by an angel’s share of over 58 per cent.
Recognised as the oldest Casimir ever produced and the only 10-year-old currently in existence on the island, it is bottled full proof without any dilution.
