It is the first Clairin becoming a real Rum, exceeding 4 years of age thus losing the primary characteristics of Michel Sajous's Clairin, to enrich itself with a new aromatic profile typical of aged rums.

It is the first release of this Clairin transformed into Rum Vieux. Originally from the Grand Terroir of St Michel de L'Attalaye in Haiti, this Pure Single Rum is born from 100% sugar cane of the Cristalline variety and is totally aged in the tropical climate of Port-Au-Prince from a selection of Ex-Caroni as well as Ex-Single Malt Scotch Whisky barrels.

Vieux Sajous marks a turning point in aging, the result of the experience of the short aging of the Clairin Ansyen but above all due to the fact that Clairin Sajous had a full alcohol content much lower than any other rum at the time of cask.
The result is extraordinary.
