Ten years on from the first legendary ageing experiments launched in 2016, Velier’s Clairin range has reached a historic milestone. Two small batch editions of exceptional rarity and maturity have been created, matured entirely in prestigious ex-Caroni casks and bottled at cask strength (full proof).
Hailing from the renowned terroir of Cavaillon, the Clairin Vieux Vaval 10 Y.O. by Fritz Vaval is produced from the indigenous Madame Meuze sugarcane variety. This release marks an absolute first: it is the oldest Vaval ever produced and is the only 10-year-old Clairin Vaval currently available in Haiti.
Produced by blending six ex-Caroni casks filled in 2016 and matured with an angel’s share of over 58 per cent, it is bottled at full proof.
