Michter's Us*1 Sour Mash Toasted Barrel Finish is a whiskey produced from a blend of grains selected by the historic American distillery. The use of mixed grains prevents this distillate from falling into a specific denomination between Bourbon and Rye. This does not affect its quality, which makes it one of the most popular whiskeys in the range.
It is produced by taking Michter's US★1 Sour Mash Whiskey and ageing it for an additional period of time in a second custom-made cask. This second cask is assembled with air-dried wood for 18 months and then toasted but not carbonated.
Aromatic profile: shining amber in colour, it captivates with its opulent, enveloping nose, amid notes of vanilla, spices, herbs and pâtisserie. The sip is warm, pleasant, with a hint of dried fruit and butter. The finish is long and persistent.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
