Akkeshi Taisho Blended Japanese whisky is distilled in Hokkaido, a remote location in eastern Japan where the Akkeshi distillery is located.
It is a peaty whisky made inspired by the hot summers of Japan's hottest time of the year. In fact, the indigo-coloured label is reminiscent of the Yukata kimono, typically used at that time.
Akkeshi Taisho Blended is made partly with malt from Hokkaido and partly with malt imported and aged on the island in Mizunara and Bourbon wood casks.
The aroma of Akkeshi Taisho Blended is reminiscent of citrus, tropical fruit, cereals and honey. The peaty note is marine, savoury.
The sweet, fresh sip recalls citrus, salty and herbaceous notes of smoked sage and almonds.
The finish is elegant, long and spicy, with notes of white chocolate.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
