The Macallan Rare Cask 2024: whisky aged in rare casks
Macallan's Rare Cask Edition for 2024, like previous editions, matures in specially selected matured sherry casks that give it a deep mahogany ruby colour, an intense sultana flavour and a rich, velvety mouthfeel.
Finely balanced notes of sultanas, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla are accompanied by dark chocolate, fruit cake, nuts and spices. The palate is full-bodied with a velvety texture and delicately sweet notes of dried fruit, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon, dark chocolate, some lemon peel and a hint of peat. The finish is long, velvety and with complex notes of fruit and spices.
