The historic Hampden Estate distillery, operating in Jamaica since 1753, is considered one of the absolute benchmarks for rum produced using prolonged fermentation and pot stills. Since 2009, under the management of the Hussey family, Hampden has consolidated its reputation for producing highly ester-rich, authentic and iconic rum.
In this exclusive edition for Italy, Velier's selection highlights the brand C<>H: for the first time in this limited edition is left to rest for 4 years in ex-sherry casks from Bodega Fundador and bottled at a natural strength of 64°.
The total of 16 casks for Europe (+4 for the United States) confirms the rarity of this bottling: a truly exclusive opportunity for collectors and connoisseurs.
This approach combines the unmistakable strength of Hampden with the complexity provided by Andalusian wood: flambéed bananas, ripe tropical fruit, candied orange peel, toasted almonds, cocoa and sweet spices are some of the organoleptic characteristics of this Jamaican Pure Single Rum.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
