Hampden Estate The Maverick is the natural continuation after the release New Beginnings: the latter celebrated the marriage of Christelle Harris and Matthew Hann, while The Maverick is dedicated to the birth of their child.
Maverick is the name used by cowboys to refer to unbranded calves who roamed the pastures in semi-freedom. Since then, the term has been used to define independent people with an adventurous spirit, full of the same fortitude needed to produce an exceptional rum like Hampden.
While New Beginnings was a blend of two Hampden marks symbolising the two newlyweds, The Maverick is a blend of three, giving bold and intense notes: 50% HGML 2018, 40% LFCH 2020 and 10% C<>H 2021.
