The third edition of Pure Single Rum Hampden Pagos is composed of a blend of 16 casks of the HLCF mark distilled in 2021 and 2022, which were then aged in July and August 2022 in 500-litre ex-Sherry casks from Bodegas Fundador.
The alcohol content was reduced to 52°. Pagos is the first ever experiment in ageing Hampden rum in ex-Sherry casks, and the name Pagos comes from the definition of parcels and terroir in the Sherry tradition.
Pagos is the perfect marriage of a rich, unique rum and the finest ex-Sherry casks. An unmistakable aromatic profile, a genuine rum that needs no tricks: strictly no added sugar.
MAXIMUM ONE BOTTLE PER CUSTOMER
Founded in 1753, the Hampden Estate in Trelawny, in the grand cru of Jamaican rum, is famous for its intense pure single rum heavy pot stills, produced using the same unique and secret methods that date back to the 18th century. Fermentation is extremely prolonged, with natural yeasts; distillation is 100% artisanal, in copper double retort pot stills; the water used throughout the production process comes from an uncontaminated natural source. Ageing takes place exclusively at Hampden, in a tropical climate.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
