Founded in 1753, Hampden stands on an area of great biodiversity, that of Trelawny, which historically represents the grand cru of Jamaican rum. The key points on which the quality of this distillery is based are: the use of its own spring water; prolonged fermentation using wild yeasts; distillation exclusively in pot stills; tropical ageing; natural colour and the absolute absence of added sugars in the rums.
The LROK mark - literally Light Rum Owen Kelly - has been produced by Hampden since 1952. The 2018 release contains a rum aged for 4 years entirely at the distillery: a perfect example of Trelawny rum, with an incredible congeners content of 1697.9 gr/hlpa, of which 370.1 gr/hlpa are esters.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
