Distilled in Guyana in 1999, the Demerara Rum Port Mourant, labeled El Dorado, belongs to the Rare Collection limited series.
It has been aged for 15 years in ex-Bourbon barrels: it is precious and noble, certainly to be reserved for the most special and important occasions.
Tasting notes: deep spicy hints open the nose, which is made up of a myriad of other nuances, such as cooked apples, sweet ripe fruit, vanilla and cinnamon, licorice, almonds and walnuts. Light citrus tones complete the nose. The taste is equally rich, warm and vibrant, medium-bodied, balanced and elegant. Long persistence.
