Release 2022 opens with enticing aromas of espresso, dark chocolate, jam on toast and crushed coriander seeds. Hints of spicy ginger and oriental spices from first-fill European oak casks matured in sherry marry with sweet notes of citrus and cedar from ex-bourbon casks, while the filler casks diffuse the lingering oak and offer an intriguing layer of complexity. All wrapped in an aromatic cloud of peat smoke, the true Highland Park trademark.
