This Highland Park Single Malt is the fifth release in the Cask Strength series, which is bottled at cask strength, without adding water to reduce the alcohol content. Version No. 5 from 2024 was matured mainly in first-fill ex-Sherry European oak casks, together with first-fill ex-Sherry American oak casks, a small quantity of refill casks, ex-Bourbon casks and, for the first time, ex-Port casks.
The nose reveals hints of toasted coconut, lemon and cedar wood, with a sweet note in the aromatic peat smoke that comes from the influence of the ex-Port casks. The palate is rich with notes of pink grapefruit and rose water, balanced by toasted oak and heather-scented peat, while the long finish releases exotic spices and liquorice, with a final hint of floral peat smoke.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
