Artist 13th Edition is part of the renowned Artist series, where whisky meets the language of contemporary art. The illustrated labels echo the character of the spirit, building a bridge between aesthetics and tasting. Each bottle is selected for its aromatic personality and bottled in limited editions for enthusiasts and collectors who see single malt as a cultural object as much as a sensory pleasure.
Caol Ila has stood on the Sound of Islay since 1846 and is one of the islands most versatile distilleries. While specialising in peated malt, its style is marked by a certain elegance, with marine tones, citrus and clean smoke. Extended ageing reveals a salty, smoky finesse that makes it a favourite among independent bottlers.
Enthralling Elegance 1993 30 Y.O. Artist 13th Edition SMWS 53.461 offers an elegant interpretation of Islay peat: the smoke is fine and misty, leaving room for lemon, herbs and open?sea aromas. The palate is salty yet balanced, with olive oil, delicate ash and a background sweetness that rounds everything out. The finish is long, saline and refined, with returning citrus and smoky tea.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
