Artist 12th Edition is part of the renowned Artist series, where whisky meets the language of contemporary art. The illustrated labels echo the character of the spirit, building a bridge between aesthetics and tasting. Each bottle is selected for its aromatic personality and bottled in limited editions for enthusiasts and collectors who see single malt as a cultural object as much as a sensory pleasure.
Glenrothes, founded in 1879 in Rothes, is a Speyside distillery famed for its velvety, richly fruity style. Deeply associated with sherry casks, it has always favoured a patient approach to maturation with long ageing in carefully selected wood. Single cask and limited editions often showcase layers of dried fruit, citrus and spice that have made Glenrothes a favourite among connoisseurs.
Glenrothes 1995 Over 25 Y.O. Artist 12th Edition is rich and concentrated, with a nose dominated by dried fruits, plums, dates and chocolate. Extended time in active casks has built an impressive structure, yet the Glenrothes malt still shines through the sherry. The finish is deep and spicy, with toasted nuts, leather and old polished wood.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
