Artist 13th Edition Spirits Shop Selection is born from the encounter between European whisky culture and the fine?tuned sensitivity of Asian selectors, with an almost obsessive attention to detail. These bottles are aimed at advanced enthusiasts, featuring rare distilleries, closed sites or particularly characterful casks. Every release is a small liquid manifesto, individually numbered and bottled in extremely limited quantities.
Ardbeg, officially founded in 1815 on Islays south coast, is one of the worlds most iconic peated distilleries. Long fermentations and a carefully selected spirit cut produce an intensely smoky malt that still carries layers of citrus and herbal notes. After a troubled twentieth century, Ardbeg has been reborn as a modern reference point for complex, deep peat character.
Ardbeg 1991 Over 30 Y.O. Artist 13th Edition Spirits Shop Selection shows what long ageing can do to an Islay peat monster: the smoke becomes soft and layered, intertwining with candied citrus, honey, sweet tar and dried seaweed. The palate is broad yet perfectly poised, with sea salt, herbs, black tea and mellow sweetness wrapping around the peat. The finish seemingly never ends, with constant interplay of smoke and sea.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
