Artist 13th Edition is part of the renowned Artist series, where whisky meets the language of contemporary art. The illustrated labels echo the character of the spirit, building a bridge between aesthetics and tasting. Each bottle is selected for its aromatic personality and bottled in limited editions for enthusiasts and collectors who see single malt as a cultural object as much as a sensory pleasure.
Ardmore was established in 1898 on the border between the Highlands and Speyside, and has long produced robust, gently rustic peated whisky. For many years its output was destined mainly for blends, but independent bottlings have revealed a smoky, honeyed and surprisingly complex character. Highland peat and altitude lend Ardmore a profile quite distinct from more maritime Islay malts.
Ardmore Sweet Smoky Dreams Are Made Of This 1997 Over 25 Y.O. Artist 13th Edition SMWS 66.248 showcases Highland peat at its best, more earthy than maritime. The nose reveals hearth smoke, heather, dark honey and dried fruit. The palate is vigorous and structured, with ash, spice, burnt caramel and a touch of resin. The finish is very long, dry and smoky, with balsamic and gently bitter echoes.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
