Arran Angels is part of Christian Drouin's Experimental range: it is a series of small-batch, millesimé limited editions bottled in collaboration with excellences in the spirits world. For the ninth release, Drouin turned to Scotland, the historic home of single malts, and in particular to the Arran distillery, with which a relationship of friendship and barrel exchanges has existed for 20 years.
A 13-year-old calvados from the Pays d'Auge was chosen for the production of this release, which was placed for 6 months in 6 old French oak barrels that had previously contained Arran whiskey.
The result is a delicate calvados on the nose, with nuances of apple, malt, apricot and pear. The palate achieves a perfect balance between roundness and acidity, with a finish that carries notes of hazelnut and grain.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
