The magnificent Nikka Coffey Grain single cask needs no introduction: some of these were immediately given access to the pantheon of great whiskies. Still very exclusive, Nikka decided to release this whisky on a long-term basis to allow everyone to discover its particularly smooth and charming style. Made largely in the Coffey still, this single grain is a delightful example of the grain whiskies that form the foundation of all Nikka blends.
Nikka represents the new trend in the whisky world to date. The distillery continues to receive numerous awards and accolades from critics who are unanimous in calling these malts on a par with their (dated) Scottish cousins.
In 2024 Nikka celebrates 90 years of success. It all began when Masataka Taketsuru founded Yoichi, a distillery located on the island of Hokkaido in northern Japan. And this is the story of a visionary and passionate pioneer who made a fundamental contribution to the success that Japanese whisky enjoys worldwide today.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
