Masataka Taketsuru (the father of Japanese whisky) is the founder of the Nikka Company, where the Yoichi distillery is the flagship. Voted best single malt in the world twice, Yoichi belongs to a niche of distilleries that make and have made whiskey history: Ardbeg, Yamazaki, Lagavulin, Macallan and Laphroaig.
This 15 year old Yoichi will remain as a splendid example of the style of the distillery founded on the island of Hokkaido in 1934. A style marked by great complexity and a truly unique finesse, a whisky suspended between a silky note of mineral peat and a majestic explosion of fruit and spices that envelop the senses.
The perfect balance between the smoky and peaty notes of cold tobacco and the maturation in sherry cask with its hints of ripe fruit.

Peat whisky offers great emotions, unmistakable flavours and smells that enrapture us and that, when combined with the scents given by oak wood, create new horizons of taste. But what is peat and where...
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
