Nikka From The Barrel Extra Marriage represents a new dimension of the famous Japanese blended whisky, created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its first release. In this limited edition, the whisky undergoes an extended period of marriage in the cask, allowing for a deeper fusion between the components from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. The result is a blend of rare elegance, where the typical power of From The Barrel is enriched with balance, roundness and aromatic depth.
The nose opens with notes of yellow fruit, sweet spices and a delicate floral touch, followed by hints of honey, leather and toasted oak. The palate is dense and structured: it moves between sweetness and spice, with hints of vanilla, dried fruit and candied ginger. The finish is long, warm and harmonious — a perfect balance between strength and refinement, amplified by the 51.4% ABV, which enhances every sensory detail.
A symbol of the art of Japanese blending, this "Extra Marriage" edition is designed for those looking for a whisky to meditate on, to be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open up its aromas. An iconic bottle, intended as much for connoisseurs as for those who want to discover the quintessence of the Nikka style: powerful, precise, unmistakable.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
